What is B.L.N.D.?

B.L.N.D. stands for Beauty, Lifestyle and Nurturing Diversity.

After this year’s event, the feedback from our audience is even clearer that more conversations around DE&I are needed in the beauty and lifestyle categories–and we are up to the challenge. Just wait until you hear what we’re cooking up for B.L.N.D. in 2024.
— Bilal Kaiser, Founder & Principal at Agency Guacamole

This is an initiative we started on our own because we saw a need for more voices in the industry from different communities: people of color, LGBTQ+, minority beauty entrepreneurs, differently-abled and any other underrepresented group that wanted to be part of the beauty and lifestyle space but for whatever reason doesn’t see themselves reflected in ads, influencer campaigns or in the workforce of the beauty industry.

Started in 2018 as a panel and networking event, B.L.N.D. has been hosted across the US in cities like Los Angeles, New York City and Atlanta. This award-winning experience with exceptional panelists and programming has been a hit each year, and we’ve had more than 500 attendees since its inception.

Our vision is to have a real life, “real talk” conversation around the on-going challenges, opportunities and inspiration in the beauty and lifestyle world. What can brands, influencers and consumers do to widen the space and change our industry for the better?

In the long term, we hope for a better industry and world where industry leaders and allies actively work to create change in all areas of the business.
