ACCOUNT COORDINATOR (part-time - 20-30 hours/week)

Agency Guacamole is a Los Angeles-based public relations and social media agency. We help clients tell their stories in a variety of ways—in partnership with the press, on social media channels, in collaboration with influencers and through cool events.

Our client roster includes household names in the beauty and lifestyle industries.

We’re a small but very hard-working team, and are excited to grow in 2018. As such, we’re looking for a PR/Social Media Account Coordinator!

The Account Coordinator will be part-time to start with the potential to become a full-time role. Our vision is for this person to lead publicity/media relations for beauty brands but also be very comfortable with social media influencer management and support.

The Account Coordinator will support internal and external Agency Guacamole projects like:

  • content research and creation (copywriting, photo curation, etc.)
  • pitching stories and seeding media/influencers based on client category
  • photo shoots in studio/around So Cal
  • social listening
  • tracking media hits and putting together recap decks
  • event concepting and production

You should be very comfortable with:

  • the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs
  • major social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook and Twitter)
  • social tools/apps (publishing, photo editing, measuring)

Here’s what’s in it for you:

  • You’ll be part of a fun and hardworking team, and will learn from people who not only have fantastic experience in marketing/PR, but also teach the subject at places like UCLA Extension.
  • Your projects will be built around what you enjoy doing. While all team members contribute to almost all projects, we’ll make every effort to make your focus area something you’re extra excited about.
  • Flexible schedule and work environment.

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Trustworthy, honest and excited individuals looking to grow and learn about PR and social media.
  • Candidates who are comfortable working on a variety of projects and being flexible enough to change direction if needed.
  • Some experience with traditional/digital PR and general social media management would be helpful, but we’re open to training the right person.
  • The right attitude is key for this role—our clients and media partners have come to expect a positive, non-pushy approach from Agency Guacamole, and the Account Coordinator will understand the value of building long-term relationships vs. quick hits.
  • People who are genuinely curious about the world and the categories in which our clients compete (e.g., beauty/lifestyle). You don’t have to be a beauty junkie to apply, but you should be open to testing whatever latest product we’re playing with.
  • People who do what they say they’re going to do.

If a collaborative, supportive and inclusive team sounds appealing to you, send a short note of introduction and your resume to jobs [at] agencyguacamole.com.
